    Short Indexable Bit holder for a Van Norman Model 944 Boring Bar.
    Length is @ 1.950" not including the adjusting screw.
    This is a replacement for the # 944-149 Tool Holder

      insert short tool holder

      a slight mod to the bottom plate of the bar was needed to get to the small bore desired. It was an easy mod and changed nothing for the bars ability to hold the tools. the tool looks and feels good. it works like a factory tool only better with the insert cutter. I will be replacing my med and long cutters as well.
